More on the Disciples with Character Profiles below

The Disciples are a core group of members and occasionally joined by more transient members. There is a division between the past and present as the "Old Guard" have a more traditional belief system based on magics such as Crowley, order of the Golden Dawn, and witchcraft. The newer element practice the Chaos magics and are referred to at the "Young Turks". The two groups are very divergent and opposed to the beliefs of each other.

At the end of the day, however, the magical factions are the "good guys" and even though their beliefs differ about HOW they produce an effect, the fact of the matter is, that they can both produce an effect. The new group, the Chaos magicians believe, with their loose system and complex rituals, that anyone can produce an effect. The Old Guard believe however, that one has to be born, predisposed, and utilize their potential. In other words, you either got it or you don’t.

The villains are the Templar Knights…in their new incarnation. Formed from the Order of the Psion (which was the military side of the Templars), they have formed a hidden corporation which controls a vast amount of power and money in many different holdings. The Templars are planning to bring back their false god, Bahomet and actually feel they have the DNA from that entity which was discovered on an archaeological dig.

The closer the Templars get to recreating their god, the more upset the magical continuum gets-sort of an arcanic ozone layer which is being eroded and as such, there is an imbalance between chaos and order…between good and evil.

The Disciples, whether they like it or not, are in the front line as their magic can be perceived on two distinct levels-in the human world they can effect change, control probability, perform conjuring tricks, etc---but in the astral plane, the ether of magic, they also have very powerful weapons. And they are the only ones with this ability.

And the Knights Templar want it

DISCIPLE CHARACTERS

              Warlock WARLOCK
Charles Blanchard is Mother's staunchest ally, always by her side and on her side. Regarded with some suspicion and dislike by other members of The Disciples, this old school oracle has little time for the fancy Chaos trickery of the younger members of the group and would rather depend on his arcane witchcraft for results. Responsible for the expulsion of Myron for the good of the group, this fifty three year old powerful tattooed man will do anything to ensure the survival of The Disciples - even though he may not agree with their methods or particularly like them.
EDEN
At the age of eighteen, Eden Quinlan had it all - flaming red hair, good looks, a grasp on quantum mechanics and an extraordinary understanding of probabilities. Her natural abilities attracted the attentions of a number of covert Government operations and for three mysterious years Eden worked on a number of black bag research projects before she was suddenly being asked to leave. Now fully aware and in control of her abilities, probability once again worked in her favor when she 'accidentally' met up with Mother in 1999. By the new Millennium, she had a new career - and a new best friend in Psiren.
                Eden
          Dexter Hobbs DEXTER HOBBS
What can you say about Dexter Hobbs? Well, whatever it is, it had better be nice if it's within earshot of this six foot six, lean and mean, thirty-five year old killer. Recruited to The Disciples at the age of twelve, Mother pulled this explosively powerful hardcore from the streets not only to protect him... but also, the huge number of potential victims he may destroy with his terrifying mastery of Voodoo, Malefic Conjure and extremely large guns. Mother's influence is only partially successful -for the streets are Hobbs' natural home, and he splits his time between tea on the lawn with Mother and blood in the Hood back in Miami's Little Haiti.
MYRON RALEIGH
Known around the world as 'The Great Myron', this supreme showman achieved massive popular success in 1974, aged only twenty when he made the Hancock Tower disappear. On- lookers gaped in disbelief as he flew a helicopter through where the tower once stood and noone realized he had used his own massively powerful kind of magic to produce the illusion. This action, spurred on by personal greed and arrogance, signaled the beginning of the end for his involvement with The Disciples and after his expulsion in 1978 for nearly bringing the group to catastrophe, he soon finds that all the wealth and fame in the world could not replace the feeling of belonging he had with the group. A string of disastrous relationships find his name dragged through the gutter press, leaving him dejected, bitter and lonely... and the only magic trick he wants to pull off is his re-admittance to The Disciples.
               Myron
            Psiren from the Disciples PSIREN
All through her life SaRenna Day has got what she wanted... at least as far as men are concerned. From an early age she realized her ability to persuade and cajole with the merest thought and flick of the hair, making her hugely popular with the guys but not so with the girls. Working behind and in front of the cameras, Psiren was ready for the big time - only the price she would have to pay at the hands of the Valetta Corporation-owned station head was too high. Realizing her powers would not work on everyone and feeling vulnerable and afraid for the first time in her life, Psiren suffered a breakdown and ran to Las Vegas to hide where, not exactly by chance, she met Eden and her substantially under-developed powers recognized by the younger woman.
SIMON
English born and bred, Simon Campbell embraced the world of Peter Carroll and Chaos Magic(k) from a very early age, joining a succession of increasingly powerful practicing groups of Chaoticians from the age of thirteen. By the time he reaches seventeen, Simon is out of control and using his exceptionally powerful spells to wreak small-scale havoc until he is taken under the wing of the charismatic Chaos magician known as Stone. This former Disciple helps to focus his power and redefine his role in the universe,  recognizing the value of his irreverent and skeptical nature. A near fatal incident in London leaves Simon fleeing his mentor and seeking out the 'family' Stone now despises - much to Simon's eventual relief.
            Disciples' Simon
               Ambrosia AMBROSIA
Part-time assistant and 'traveling companion' to Myron, this eighteen year old wannabe Goth vampire has been Myron's anchor to reality for over a year. While their relationship is platonic, outsiders view the situation with a rather dim view although Ambrosia Morrow secretly enjoys the notoriety she attracts. When she is not irritating Myron with her fake fangs and death rock music she is his genuine friend and confidant - and to hell with anyone who thinks differently.
SUZI CARMICHAEL
Suzi Carmichael is fifteen years old, and is about the only person who does not realize her untapped potential. Outwardly a normal teenager, Suzi broadcasts a cosmic energy signature so powerful it can be sensed across the multiple dimensions of time and space, yet fails to be detected by Mother due to the deliberate magical interference of the Valetta Corporation who see her as the last and most vital piece of the apocalyptic plan they have been constructing since 1967.
              Disciples' Suzi
            Disciples' Mother MOTHER
Mother, whose real name is lost to time, is the faltering heart of The Disciples. Mentor, choreographer and leader of the group, she forms its center and focuses the energies and talents of The Disciples in the direction she feels necessary.
While her direct involvement in events may not always be obvious, her omnipresence permeates every action and undertaking of her carefully chosen family. Little is known of her background, but it is believed she was once the wife of an extremely wealthy United States Senator and was linked very closely at one time to such magical luminaries as Aleister Crowley and Austin Osman Spare.
Although Mother may be the oldest surviving member of The Disciples it is rumored that the origins of the group reach back further than even her involvement...
