King of Harlem

Review by
MURDER EXPRESS
Elizabeth Henze

I absolutely LOVED this book! Set in 1936 Harlem, the story swirls around a 20-year old Orson Welles and his all-negro production of Macbeth. When one of Welles' actors gets arrested for the murder of a white socialite, in steps ex Chicago Cubs pitcher turned P.I. Sassafras Winters and his valet, Chinaman, to try to solve the murder and make sure Welles' show goes on.

This wonderful noir novel should be required reading for anyone who enjoys a good mystery. Purchase and enjoy!
