The Countess Marya Dracula
maintains her secret life, nestled in the mountains of Transylvania. The legends and
stories released about her father never made much news in the countryside she lived
in. It was a remote and desolate land that was full of primitive people. The
only reason Transylvania was known at all was because people had to pass through it to get
somewhere else. In 1912, there just wasn't any other reason to venture into
Transylvania.
But there is one joy to Marya from
the war. She meets a young man, Manfred von Richthofen, who would later become the
infamous WW I flying ace, the Red Baron. They begin a torrid love affair and Marya
desperately wants to bring him to her side...to becoming like her. But can she risk
revealing her true nature to do so...or will she lose him forever.
When the Red Baron, after years of
frustrating the allies, is finally shot down, Marya goes mad with her revenge.
Summoning all of her great power, she unleashes a fury against the allies with her plagues
of bats and wolves. And she herself, changes dramatically...first as a horrible
half-human/half-bat creature, and then into something entirely different....a human,
carrying a child. The love has transformed her.
Brief
Description: The story of Dracula's daughter and her torrid love affair with the
ace pilot, the Red Baron.
Key Elements:
A love story set in the horrific world of vampires. The dilemma of the two worlds
being brought together against the back drop of the first World War which pulls them
together.
Association:
Would have much of the same appeal as The Mummy as Marya brings forth some of her powers
when she exacts her revenge. Not a typical "Dracula" movie and it also
covers the insanity of war as well as profiles the Red Baron.
Format:
A complete film script is written and a graphic novel is to be released in
late 2005.
