Golgothika
2 : War in Heaven
Helmut continues fighting his way out of the ghetto known as hell in order to
rescue Wyoming, the woman he loves, from her would-be kidnappers. He fails. Consequently,
he takes his fight to the source of all his troubles: Werner Herzog, the most powerful man
in the world. Helmut storms Herzog's tower and battles with Tai Ch'ung, the bio-engineered
giant. Helmut then makes a startling discovery about Wyoming.
Golgothika 3 : Enter Now the World
After a bloody defeat in Herzog's tower, Helmut wakes to a strange, nightmarish
world. Everything has changed. Giant machines of destruction have scoured the planet clean
and the few surviving humans shiver in small, frightened groups... the world is obscured
by dark shadows cast from a massive tower that looks...familiar. In issue 3, a young
waif-like angel befriends Helmut and helps him make sense of his new surroundings.
Golgothika 4 : Follow the Blood Red
River
After a bloody defeat in Werner Herzog's tower, Helmut Muchenstich (a green,
four-foot-tall gargoyle), wakes up in heaven... a heaven that looks more like hell. In the
midst of the wasteland: the house of god... a gigantic black monolith which bears a
startling resemblance to Herzog's tower. Helmut explores the strange cathedral he awoke to
find himself in. He looks for a door that leads out. With the help of a deranged
fire-breathing dragon and an emaciated young girl with wings, he finds a door and sets out
to storm the house where God lives... the last time Helmut assaulted Werner Herzog's tower
in a desperate attempt to rescue the woman he loves, he was up against unbeatable odds...
this time he is up against God.
Golgothika 5 : Low Place like Home
Helmut was in heaven, but it looked like hell: a scorched and ruined landscape
littered with dead bodies and fallen angels. Thank God it was just a dream. He wakes up.
Something big is standing over him. A twelve foot tall robotic death machine with fists
like pile drivers. The fists begin to drive. Enter: Wednesday13. Gun-toting,
missile-launching, bomb-dropping, joke-spewing, four-foot tall angel of destruction. She's
sixteen years old. She saves Helmut, hauls his body across a ruined city, and introduces
him to her pal, Blixa Danzig... former body guard for our wicked witch of the west: Werner
Herzog. Blixa tells his story...which explains everything (yes! finally! this is the issue
where everything is explained!) Golgothika 5, it's all here: bad jokes, big explosions,
monster dogs, war, heroes, losers, really really bad villains, drugs, romance, a garbage
dump, revenge, betrayal, motorcycles, dead rats, cool music, and a train.
