The PARTICIPANTS
PRIMARY CHARACTERS

THE DREAMERS
These are the research "subjects" or in other words, the dreamers.

Sheila Barnes
She sees dance as her ticket to fame, knowing that she can only rely on her stunning looks for a decade or so before gravity defeats her. Consumed, driven, and narrow minded...nothing matters to her except to obtain her goals.

Thaddeus Goldstein
A psychiatry major who harbors a secret desire to be a jazz musician. He sees a life ahead of unfulfilled ambition and wasted chances but doesn’t know if he’s strong enough to circumvent that...or even try.

Daniel Winston
A teaching grad assistant who loves the field of history but is faced with the reality of having an unmarketable degree. He is secure in the study of the past yet afraid to live in today’s world.

Howard Johnson
Refers to himself as JJ Howard (who wants to be named after a restaurant?), and was a hot shot "can’t miss" prospect in football. But he found out his natural talents weren’t enough and is now just another blue chip player who failed at the next level. His future is unclear as he never considered any other options.

Jennifer Edwards
As if to atone for the sexiness that seems to ooze from her, she attempts to prove her most value asset is her mind. But with her looks, not to many people want to get to know the "real" her. A sociology major, she comes across as mysterious but that is mainly to hide her past.

Cyril Richards
He attends classes only to have access to the school’s facilities in his quest to be a computer game designer. He has attacked the new field of computer programming with a passion no one knew he had and is frustrated by anything that takes him away from it.

The Researchers
The key members of the Research team...the scientists involved in the experimentation of Level X entry.

Sean LeMarc- Director and founder of the LeMarc Foundation which has reached a different level of research into the dreamworld.

Randall Paxton-Head of Research Team and a stickler for details. Perfectly suited as a task master.

Wanda Hendricks-Assistant to Paxton.

Liza Goodman- Computer technician who probably knows more about the research than anyone else. She has a passion for it that the others don’t have. She is also immensely frustrated because she wanted to be part of the experimental team but her dreams weren’t strong enough. It may be due to her medical condition which leaves her in a wheelchair.

Rachel Murray-Artificial intelligence interface expert

Rajiv Patel- Artificial intelligence interface expert

Both Rachel and Rajiv are relatively new to the team and were brought in for the artificial intelligence aspect. They do not interpret the dreams but visualize them as the computer might see them.
