Back in 1984, a secret government faction to the FBI
(very similar to the television show the X-Files) was closed because of a failed mission.
The agents of Project Psi, those that managed to survive the task, were then incarcerated
by the Pentagon and were not heard from for a long time. A decade-and-a-half passed with
no incident until, in 1999, one man by the name of Enki succeeded in escaping from his
confinement. He was loose, abroad and the U.S. National Security Divisions worst
fears were realized.
What is it that was so important about the man named Enki, and the other agents of
Project Psi? Three words. They saw God. It is not sure what God or who's God, but they all
claimed it...even those of different religions.
The results?
Most of them died from the event. Those that survived, however, became gifted with extreme
abilities "far beyond those of mortal men." Government research would like to
have been able to study these men, but it was impossible. Anyone who even remotely tried
to harm them, were killed for their endeavors, and many times not because of the
"marked" agents choice.
The first is Carter Thomas, who has the ability to "see the future";
essentially he is gifted with the capabilities of a biblical prophet, able to predict the
future. Also, he is able to see things immediate. You cant shoot him, or even punch
him, because he already knows your intentions and can move to counter it a millisecond
before you commit to doing it. The other is Gerald Enki, who can make potential energy
into kinetic energy simply by thinking it. A result may be that if Enki wishes your head
to burst into flames, it will.
Now, Enki is free. He wishes only to live normally, although he is pretty pissed about
being locked up for fifteen years. He figures, hes away now, but he knows that,
ultimately, they wont let him be. So, he wanders, and tries to visit his family who
believe him to be long dead. But in order to survive in the "outside" world,
Enki will end up going back to free Thomas. Together, they could remain free forever,
since they would know the governments every move before it happens.
The overall storyline is open. It could be a world-ending cataclysm type dealing with
the return of God and Judgment Day, or something of a lesser scope.
