BRANDED PROPERTIESCaliber has created many themes and properties that have a familiar
sensibility about them. More than adaptations, we have a passion for taking existing
properties and building new worlds and structures around them. Although often based on
classic material, these incarnations are truly unique in of themselves, but it does spawn
a sense of familiarity and comfort with the newly created properties.
Sinergy is a modern retelling of Dante’s Inferno, Troy uses the Iliad as its base, War of the Worlds builds off the original story. Searchers incorporates the creations of H.G., Wells, Jules Verne, and other writers to create a new version of classic characters, new tales of Sherlock Holmes, Inspector Dupin, and Professor Challenger are told. Daughter of Darkness and Renfield build on the horror of Dracula in unique ways, etc. Of course, we also have the extensive line of Tome Press titles which cover such famous people as El Cid, Ghenghis Khan, Jeremiah Johnson, Jack the Ripper, and many more. This provides new properties on older concepts. Of course, the majority of Caliber Entertainment’s properties are entirely new concepts, but there is a wealth of branded, or known, properties that we have made our own as well.
